Slope ground covers are polypropylene fabrics with low light transmission and high UV stabilization, which limits the movement of wooden mulch down the slope, especially during rains.
Application
We make packages of slope ground covers for B2B gardening supplies sellers, which are then available in gardening stores, home and garden centers or hobby markets.
Slope ground covers are also used by professional gardening companies for planting slopes in gardens and parks. We usually supply them with rolls.
How We Work
Our goal is for slope ground covers to meet our customers’ needs. We always discuss the customer’s situation and specifics first and manufacture products that suit the customer perfectly.
We use various formatting techniques to manufacture slope ground covers:
- Large-scale cutting is performed on an automatic production line.
- We rewind fabrics from large rolls to smaller ones.
- We also employ technology for continuous folding of sheet materials - thus reducing the width of the fabric by half.
Material
Slope ground covers are porous water-permeable polypropylene fabrics with low light transmission and high UV stabilization.
Their main advantage over our woven ground covers is that they limit the movement of wood mulch down the slope.
Slope ground covers are manufactured from endless polypropylene threads in combination with high volume DREF yarn. The light brown strips of this yarn are woven between the polypropylene strips and thus reduce the displacement of the mulch.
Furthermore, slope ground covers are characterized by the same properties as woven ground covers. We make products of slope ground covers which:
- absorb sunlight, limit photosynthesis and suppress weed growth,
- reduce the need for herbicides and other weed control products,
- reduce evaporation and thus increase soil moisture during dry periods,
- significantly reduce the time needed to maintain flower beds,
- resist fungi and bacteria.
Set Up
We recommend the use of wood mulch (wood chips or bark) on slopes with an inclination of up to 45 degrees and installation of the slope ground covers in a way that the light brown strips of DREF yarn are in the direction of the contours of the slope.
We also suggest to always use wood mulch, such as wood chips or bark. Wood mulches are caught by the fibers in the DREF yarn strips, which limit the movement of the mulch down the slope - this does not apply to other types of mulch such as aggregate.
